PENGUIN SKI LESSON

Penguin Ski Lessons are 1-to-1 sessions designed specifically for children aged 5–7 years.

Each 30-minute lesson is tailored to your child’s current ability and confidence level.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your lesson start time.
This allows time to get fitted with boots and skis — this fitting is not part of the lesson.

Before your lesson: Have some fun learning the Snowsport Ski Way Code together!
The interactive website below is full of games, videos, and snowy characters that help children understand how to stay safe and kind on the slope.

Choosing your child’s skill stage (required for booking)
To help us plan the perfect lesson, you’ll be asked to select your child’s current stage on the next page.
The stages below are listed in learning order, starting from complete beginners and progressing toward independent skiing.
Just choose the one that feels closest to your child — our instructors will do the rest.

First Time
Has never skied before. Still getting used to the equipment and balancing on flat ground. Needs full support.

Straight Runs
Learning balance and gaining confidence while sliding in a straight line.

Snowplough Glides
Learning to make a snowplough (“pizza”) shape to begin controlling speed.

Learning the Lift
Learning how to use the drag lift, with minimal other activities during the session.

Snowplough Stops
Learning how to stop safely in a straight line using a snowplough.

Snowplough Turns
Learning how to turn while in a snowplough.

Linked Snowplough Turns
Learning to link turns together smoothly, instead of turn–stop–turn.

Gaining Independence
Reaching the point where they can ski more independently and confidently.

Supporting your child
Lessons are delivered in a calm, fun and engaging way, with the pace set entirely to your child’s needs.
You’ll also have the chance on the next page to tell us about anything that may help support your child’s experience (e.g. “very shy” or “prefers a familiar adult nearby”).

Important: Penguin Ski Lessons are strictly for children aged 5–7 years.

To change or move a Penguin Ski Lesson after booking, a £10 admin fee will apply.
