Wartime Purbeck is the author's third book. It is A4 sized with 83 pages of text and photographs and took over four years to research and put together. It tells stories of miltary 'happenings and occurrences' that took place in Purbeck, on land, in the air and at sea, during both World Wars. The Swanage branch gets several mentions, and in particular there is a chapter on the Howitzer rail mounted guns which were trialled unsuccessfully on the branch. There are chapters on the Bovington Military Railway, which had only a short existence from the end of World War 1, and the Wareham Camp at Worgret which also had sidings off the main line. RAF Warmwell and the sinking of several boats off the Purbeck coast also feature along with a time line of events in World War 2.
